Here are a few things you need to know beforehand:

• You can get permanent or non-permanent extensions
• Permanent extensions are attached to your real hair by either weaving, taping or chemical bonding
• Non-permanent extensions are clipped in and secured using bobby pins
• The lifespan of extensions will depend on the care you show them but should usually last for 6 months
• Each seamed 'curtain' of hair of your extension is called a weft

Real or Fake

There are real hair and synthetic hair extensions, but Ruby Inspired Hair and Beauty will always recommend real hair to give you more style flexibility.

With synthetic hair extensions, colouring and styling are not recommended since you could end up damaging or discolouring the wefts. Applying heat from a flat or curling iron could even end up melting them – yikes!
